ILS Chair’s News & Notes

The ILS Annual Meeting is Friday, June 19 from 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. The meeting will be virtual and we encourage all ILS Members to attend. Here is what you can expect in the next couple of weeks leading up to the Annual Meeting:
  • Committee Reports: Angie Froelich, the ILS Section Liaison, is going to reach out to ILS Committee Chairs for their end of the year reports. Angie will send out a final agenda including logistical details.
  • Executive Council Work: The ILS BOard will be reaching out to the Members on the Executive Council whose terms are sunsetting. Members who have expressed interest in and are also heavily active in the Section will be invited to serve on the Executive Council. The ILS Board will be meeting (remotely) to review and discuss Officer leadership as well.
  • Publishing: The ILS is preparing to launch sales for the ILS Desk Reference Book. This law book is a legal resource with more than 15 chapters on international law areas and issues. Written and edited by ILS Members, we are very excited to finally make this publication available. Keep reading the Gazette for ways to purchase your copy.
We continue publishing articles and content and are putting together substantive ILS Webinars based on the ILS Survey results. Thank you to everyone for your participation and feedback.
Similar to the last two months, our Zoom ILS Annual Meeting will be new, slightly awkward at the beginning, full of folks with tech issues, but also memorable. Let’s plan on a successful close to the 2019-2020 and a strong start for the new year.
