From 30 October to 2 November, the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA) invites the members of Florida’s international legal community to join its Half-Year October Conference at the EAST, Miami hotel. The programme has been tailored for US and international lawyers interested in the latest developments related to cross-border disputes, M&A transactions, doing business in Latin America, renewables, leadership and diversity. 200+ lawyers from more than 35 countries around the world have already confirmed their attendance.
Members of Florida’s international legal community have exclusive access to one-day passes for Thursday (31 October) or Friday (1 November).  For a greatly discounted fee ($285), the pass gives you the freedom to attend as many sessions as you want in one day, as well as access to the lunch and coffee networking breaks.
What’s on the schedule? On both days, the programme will feature three seminars running in parallel:
  • Doing business in LATAM 2020: Getting to a legal state of bliss
  • Cross-border disputes 2020: What to expect in the coming decade
  • Oil & gas 2020: Fossil fuels in a renewable world
In addition, Friday’s programme will feature a roundtable on ‘M&A transactions in Latin America and Europe: Similarities and differences’, as well as a leadership workshop on ‘Leading strategically in an interdependent, diverse and complex world’ with Leslie DePol, CEO & Co-Founder of Polarity Partnerships.
