Richard Monters De Oca is the founder and Managing Partner of MDO Partners. Montes De Oca is an AV-Preeminent-Rated attorney in Corporate, Contracts and International Law with over 15 years of experience. Montes De Oca is an expert in the areas of corporate governance, corporate finance, M&A transactions, and securities, as well as global compliance and business ethics.
Throughout his career, Montes De Oca has represented significant clients in a number of international corporate transactions and global compliance matters in over 30 countries, including the Americas, the Caribbean, Europe, and Russia. An ultimate team player with sound judgment, proven leadership, and tireless work ethic, Montes De Oca is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Miami School of Law, where he teaches Compliance, Contract Drafting, and Mergers and Acquisitions. Prior to establishing MDO Partners, Montes De Oca was Associate Vice President and Assistant General Counsel of Royal Caribbean Cruises, Senior Counsel at World Fuel Services, and an attorney at Holland & Knight.
A graduate of the University of Florida, where he received his B.A. with high honors, Florida International University, where he achieved his MBA, and the University of Miami School of Law, Montes De Oca serves on the Executive Council of the Florida Bar International Law Section and he is also a Board Member of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and the Miami Finance Forum.
