Rebecca A. Rodriguez, an associate in GrayRobinson P.A.’s Fort Lauderdale office, has been appointed by the American Bar Association’s Section of International Law as a member of the Steering Group for the Customs Law Committee. Through its Committees, ABA International identifies developing areas of international legal practice and responds to member needs related to such issues. ABA International’s mission is to be the preeminent U.S.-based international legal organization by advancing the professional excellence of its membership; bridging the U.S. and non-U.S. legal communities; helping members serve the international needs of their clients; promoting substantive international expertise; and strengthening the just implementation of the rule of law. Rodriguez has served on the ABA Section of International Law’s Planning Committees for the Fall 2013 Section Meeting in London, Spring 2014 Section Meeting in New York City and the upcoming Fall 2014 Section Meeting in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Rodriguez’s practice focuses on a vast array of litigation and administrative matters, including international trade issues and regulatory compliance for corporate clients. She serves on the Government Affairs Committee for the Florida Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association and is a member of the Customs & International Trade Bar Association and the Organization of Women in International Trade, South Florida.
