Matt Feeley

Matt Feeley is presently an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of Florida and a Special Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Oklahoma. Prior to his current government service, Matt practiced at a national law firm in Miami, where he focused on commercial litigation and anti-corruption counseling and investigations.

Why did you become Board Certified in International Law? I sought board certification because I wanted to emphasize the international focus of my practice.

What are some benefits you received from being Board Certified? Board certification in your area of expertise allows you to hold yourself out to the community as having specialized knowledge. Given the rigorous certification standards, board certification carries a lot of weight with the legal community and potential clients.

Any best tips or advice to ILS Members preparing for the Certification Exam? Enjoy the preparation process. It may seem daunting, but it is an opportunity to revisit fundamentals of international law.
