GrayRobinson Shareholder, Glenn Cooper, will be a featured speaker at the Doing Business in Florida Conference hosted by the Quebec-Florida Chamber of Commerce on March 13, 2014. The conference will shed light on a number of topics, including exports, financing alternatives, business immigration, corporate structures, international marketing and tax strategies. Cooper will present in French and focus on business immigration, offering valuable insight necessary to be able to prepare and develop business projects in Florida.

Cooper advocates for and represents his international clients before State and Federal government agencies. His practice focuses on assisting U.S. companies, foreign companies, investors and professionals regarding U.S. immigration laws whereby he helps clients secure business and investor visas such as the L-1, E-1, E-2, H-1B and O-1 visas. Cooper also assists clients regarding U.S. permanent residence and naturalization applications. Additionally, Cooper’s practice includes advising international clients on corporate, business and contract law matters in Florida. Cooper serves on the Board of Directors of the Quebec-Florida Chamber of Commerce. He is Co-Chair of the International Action Team of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance, the economic development agency for Broward County, whose mission is to bring international business and investment to the Greater Fort Lauderdale area. Cooper is also Chair of Public Policy for the Government Affairs Group and serves on the Board of Directors of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce whereby he advocates for business constituents in the Greater Miami area regarding important issues including immigration, international trade, transportation and infrastructure through regular visits to Washington, D.C. and Tallahasee. He is also a member of the International Committee of the Florida Chamber of Commerce where he chairs the Florida Brazil Partnership whose purpose is to promote the free flow of trade and investment between Florida and Brazil.
