Glenn M. Cooper, a shareholder in both the Miami and Fort Lauderdale offices of GrayRobinson, P.A., was recently appointed to the Congressional Committee for the American Immigration Lawyers Association’s South Florida Chapter. AILA is a nonpartisan, not-for-profit organization that provides continuing legal education, information, professional services, and expertise through its 38 chapters and more than 50 national committees. The South Florida chapter is one of the largest in the nation and works to assist the administration of justice for immigrants in the legal system. As a member of the Congressional Committee, Cooper will regularly engage with members of Congress on matters related to immigration including advocating for comprehensive immigration reform and Cooper will continue to travel to Washington, DC to meet with members of Congress as well as their staff and committees.

The Bobadilla Law Firm, representing Piquet Realty, a Miami-based international luxury real estate firm owned by a prominent Brazilian local businessman, has filed a trade secret lawsuit for corporate espionage against a Brazilian start-up real estate firm unlawfully competing as Spectrum Realty Group (“Spectrum”) that infiltrated Piquet Realty and stole, among other things, Piquet Realty’s client and marketing list.
